The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra performs a vast repertoire, from rare historic compositions to Jazz at Lincoln Center-commissioned works, including compositions and arrangements by Toshiko Akiyoshi, Count Basie, Benny Carter, Billy Childs, John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Gil Evans, Dizzy Gillespie, Benny Goodman, Jimmy Heath, Fletcher Henderson, Woody Herman, Thad Jones, John Lewis, Wynton Marsalis, Charles Mingus, Thelonious Monk, Gerry Mulligan, Ted Nash, Oliver Nelson, Chico O'Farrill, Sy Oliver, Billy Strayhorn, Ron Westray, Mary Lou Williams, Gerald Wilson, and many others. Guest conductors have included David Berger, Benny Carter, Paquito D’Rivera, Jon Faddis, Jimmy Heath, John Lewis, Chico O'Farrill, Robert Sadin, Ray Santos, Loren Schoenberg and Gerald Wilson.
