Only a short time after finishing his training at The Juilliard School, Bryan Carter has already begun to establish an incredible career. Beginning the drums at age three, Bryan quickly developed a strong passion for music, especially jazz, and by the age of eleven had already studied with legendary drummers Louie Bellson, Harold Jones, and Ed Thigpen. Carter has performed at national and internal venues and festivals including The Jazz Bistro, The Vic, The Beverly Hills Hotel, The Chicago Jazz Festival, and more. He has played or recorded with artists such as Clark Terry, Kenny Barron, and Ted Nash. The Bryan Carter Quintet released their first CD entitled Enchantment in May 2011 making an impact on the “College Music Journal” and “Jazz Week” radio charts. This week at Dizzy’s The Bryan Carter Quartet will be celebrating Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers.
Late Night Sessions are the new After Hours at Dizzy’s Club Coca–Cola. Scheduled after after the headlining artist’s last set Tuesday through Saturday, these performances feature some of jazz’s most talented up and coming artists. No reservations necessary.
