The Ted Rosenthal Trio, which features Rosenthal on piano, Martin Wind on bass, and Tim Horner on drums, will release Rhapsody in Gershwin at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola. Featuring their arrangements of Gershwin songs, including Rhapsody in Blue, the album is a showcase of Rosenthal’s skills as an arranger and the trio’s impeccable musicianship. Rosenthal first achieved international recognition by winning first prize at the 2nd annual Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition. He has since built a career as a performer and educator, sharing the stage with jazz greats like Gerry Mulligan, Art Farmer, Phil Woods, Bob Brookmeyer, and James Moody. Rosenthal is currently a faculty member of the Manhattan School of Music and The Juilliard School.
