Late Night Session: Evan Sherman Group

Overview

Evan Sherman, 19, plays the drums with contagious joy, astounding technique, and maturity far beyond his age. He has shared the stage with icons such as Jimmy Heath, Cyrus Chestnut, Roy Hargrove and has toured internationally with the Dizzy Gillespie All-Stars. Based in NYC, Sherman currently attends the Manhattan School of Music. This week at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola, his trio—Emmet Cohen (piano) and Russell Hall (bass)—will be celebrating the incredible music of Duke Ellington, interpreting many of Duke's classic compositions as well as some of his unknown gems.

Late Night Sessions are the new After Hours at Dizzy’s Club Coca–Cola. Scheduled after after the headlining artist’s last set Tuesday through Saturday, these performances feature some of jazz’s most talented up and coming artists. No reservations necessary.
