Each year Essentially Ellington members receive a free resource package that includes six charts and reference recordings, as well as:

- Essentially Ellington Newsletters

- Online score studies of EE charts featuring step-by-step teaching guides

- Eligibility to participate in non-competitive Essentially Ellington Regional Festivals

- Option to submit a recording for the Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band Competition & Festival in New York City and receive professional feedback for free
