From the Jazz at Lincoln Center Radio Archives:
Wynton Marsalis Quintet
Broadcast date:June 10, 2010

Wynton Marsalis debuted his quintet nearly three decades ago. Though he has played as a soloist, with orchestras and ensembles in every configuration, Marsalis's quintets have offered some of the most felicitous settings for his trumpet and imagination. The second Marsalis Quintet, featuring pianist Dan Nimmer, bassist Carlos Henriquez, sax man Walter Blanding and drummer Ali Jackson, join the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra to revisit Marsalis's enduring compositions. Wendell Pierce hosts.
