WeBop

Join us for the fall term of WeBop (September 24-November 17, 2013), as we focus on fundamental concepts such as swing, blues, improvisation and other jazz essentials. Over the course of eight weeks, you and your child will explore your imagination, creativity, and musicality. Priority registration begins May 13, 2013.

Registration

Registrations are taken on a term-by-term basis. The fee for each eight-week term is $350. You may register online by selecting the appropriate semester's tab above.  Confirmations will be sent out via email within three business days of your enrollment.  There is a 10% discount for families registering more than one sibling.

Makeup Classes

Families are permitted a maximum of two (2) makeup classes per term. All makeups are subject to availability, are scheduled on a first come first served basis, and may not be rescheduled if missed. Families are allowed to attend another class appropriate for their child’s age group that is within the existing schedule. To schedule a makeup class please email webop@jalc.org or call 212-258-9922.

Refunds

Tuition fee is fully refundable up to two weeks prior to the start of each semester. A 50% refund is available for registrations cancelled within the first two weeks of class. No refunds will be issued after the first two weeks of class.

Location

Classes are held at Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center at 60th & Broadway. Take the silver elevators next to the box office up to the 5th floor, and then turn left to enter the Irene Diamond Education Center (IDEC).

Introducing WeBop Family Jazz Parties!
This summer, join WeBop for a series of fun and interactive family concerts. Recommended for children eight months to seven years of age; all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Fun with Drums featuring NEA Jazz Master Jimmy Cobb

WeBop’s Mr. Tim will lead an all-star band exploring drums in jazz. Be ready to move as the drums will surely groove! Kids and families can sing, dance, and drum along with one of jazz's living legends!

Sophisticated Ladies
Sat, Jun 22 / 3pm & 5pm
$20 per person and $60 for a Family Four Pack.
WeBop’s Ms. Patrice will lead an all-female band celebrating the sophisticated ladies of jazz.  Come prepared to jam, dance, and swing together with your family and friends.
